MASANAS Partners with Welsh Champion Boxer Lauren Price MBE

MASANAS, the philanthropic venture and investment company co-founded by award-winning entrepreneur Mark Sweeny, has announced a 12-month partnership with Olympic gold medallist and unified world welterweight champion Lauren Price MBE.

The partnership will see MASANAS support Lauren as she continues her professional boxing career, while working with her across community, entrepreneurial and youth-focused initiatives in Wales. It reflects a shared commitment to Welsh talent and to engaging with young people through sport and shared experience.

Born in Newport and raised in Ystrad Mynach, Lauren has established herself as one of the leading names in Welsh sport. She represented Wales in football before becoming a world kickboxing champion and winning gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Since turning professional in 2022, Lauren has continued to make history, becoming Wales's first female world boxing champion and later the unified world welterweight champion.

Her career has been built on years of hard work, discipline and determination. It has also given Lauren a platform that she is keen to use beyond the ring, particularly when it comes to engaging with young talent and sharing the experiences she has gained throughout her time in sport.

That complements the work of MASANAS, which was established to give back and support ambitious people, growing businesses and community projects across Wales.

Through investment, business support and community initiatives, MASANAS works with people and organisations at different stages of their development, with a particular focus on nurturing Welsh talent, young people and supporting long-term growth.
